I've just imported my entire photo collection into Lightroom. This is from my school days 40 years ago, when men were men, maths was maths and there were no calculators!!
I loved it back in those days. The USA had just landed on the moon, I was starting out to study physics and we had £sd currency, imperial and metric measure. So you had base 20, 16, 12, 3 as well as 10! And just slide rules and log tables! ....I know, I'm showing my age!!
I had one of those slide rules, from my parents. Either your photo collection was really tiny, or it was a long and tiring and tedious (but ultimately rewarding) job! Also, 40 years ago, when cameras used film!
My mother had a Zenit when she was young, though I'd be hard-pressed to tell you what kind, all I know is it was bulky and heavy. Tedious work, really, scanning photographs. I've done a couple, it's not something I'd like to do on a large scale.
No. No large scale scanning. I have loads of negs from my pre-digital days and I don't intend to scan them all in. I got my first digital camera back in 1995 when I was living in Virginia, so the retro exercise on DA might jump to the 1990's very fast.
Yes, the Zenit was like a tank. Still, a good start.
I remember them! (dates me a bit, eh?
Yes, there are a lot of photos, but I started with the oldest ones first. The shot is taken on HP3 film using a Zenith B camera and scanned.
